OK, so everyone gets a little obsessed with pageviews when they start out on here, me included. But after 2 years I finally realise that it doesn't matter. Who gives a shit if you have 2 or 2000 pageviews?

I would like to add on a slightly smug note that, unlike a few people I have known, I got my pageviews WITHOUT an AdCast. Because, if you really have the talent and reciprocate peoples' comments, you will get the views. What's the point in having over 17,000 pageviews if your mediocre efforts never get commented? People click on AdCasts, skim the profile then go back to their homepage. Fair enough, plenty of people with talent have bought AdCasts, and I've looked at their work...it's damned good. But people, please save some arsehole spammer the trouble to burn you, and admit that you can't express yourself art-wise, whether it be paint, pencil, photo or writing. If you want something to count for you, put some bloody expression in your work, only approach the canvas when you're feeling a strong eemotion, rather than copying photos and pictures BADLY.

This philosophy I have also taken note of, so don't think me a hypocrite. And a little bit of fan art is fine, but to base your artistic skills on other artists is plagiarism children, and is bad and wrong.

Here endeth the lesson (mainly directed at that "special" kid in the back of the class, you know who you are even if you won't admit it).
